Abstract:

This rule extends the compliance date for 90 days, from November 26, 1987, to February 24, 1988, for the requirements in the Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to the installation of fire-retardant seat cushions in large airplanes operated under Part 135 by on-demand and commercial (unscheduled) operators. This extension has been found to be necessary as a result of several petitions for exemption, and public comment thereon, recently submitted to the FAA.
