Abstract:

The purpose of these amendments to Parts 25 and 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulations is to revise Â§ 25.1457(d)(2) to permit the installation of cockpit voice recorders which have an automatic means to stop each erasure feature from functioning within 10 minutes after the instant of crash impact, and to clarify Â§ 121.359 with respect to the retention of recorded information by the certificate holders.
