This amendment specifies the additional requirements for airplane designs certificated under Special Federal Aviation Regulation No. 41 (SFAR 41) that are necessary to comply with the airworthiness standards of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Annex 8, Manufacturers or modifiers of these airplanes may voluntarily elect to comply with these additional requirements to facilitate international operations.
