Abstract:

The purpose of this amendment to Part 121 of the Federal Aviation Regulations is to extend the time for compliance with $ 121.349(c)(4) for 8 months through February 28, 1966. The Air Transport Association of America has requested that the Agency waive, or at least delay, the effective date of this provision insofar as it requires the installation of approved distance measuring equipment (DME) on the DC-3 airplane after June 30, 1965.
