Abstract:

This amendment adopts a new Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR) which prescribes additional airworthiness standards applicable to existing propeller driven multiengine small airplanes to allow their type and airworthiness recertification at weights in excess of the limitation of 12,500 pounds maximum certificated takeoff weight, or with an increase in the number of passenger seats, or both.
