Abstract:

The FAA amends Part 121 to require airborne low-altitude windshear warning and flight guidance equipment in airplanes and Parts 121 and 135 to require windshear training for flight crewmembers. The National Transportation Safety Board investigations show that low-altitude windshear has been a prime cause of air carrier accidents.
