Abstract:

The purpose of this amendment to Â§ 121.161 (b) of the Federal Aviation Regulations is to permit the operation of Martin 404 and Convair Model 240 (CV-240), 580 (CV-580), 600 (CV-600), and 640 (CV-6400) airplanes in extended overwater operations without being certificated or approved as adequate for ditching under the airworthiness requirements of Part 25.
