Abstract:

The purpose of these amendments is to adopt a new public procedure to expedite the issuance of standards, known as Technical Standard Orders (TSO), for specified materials, parts, processes, and appliances used on civil aircraft. In accordance with Executive Order 12044, Improving Government Regulations, the new procedure will expedite TSO issuance and amendment, and will result in the substantial reduction of existing regulatory material.
