Abstract:The need for civil defense strategies, and operations in the event of a nuclear war during the Cold War Era. The document covers the historical context of the Cold War, and how bunkers, and actions to take during a nuclear war would help citizens remain safe. A drill on the steps government employees would take was put into action in “Operation Alert”, and the results are provided.
