Under this project, methodologies were developed to extend the maximum length of the FSPGBS to about 100 ft. Work consisted of envisioning the connection detail and carrying out numerous non-linear finite element analysis and developing the proof of concept test, that includes testing two FSGBS with types of connections envisioned. Under this project plans for testing two test specimens were developed and tests specimens have been fabricated. The next phase of the project, not reported in this project will consist of testing the two test specimen and verifying the assumptions made and have the system ready for field applications.
