Abstract:This report constitutes the detailed modeling and evaluation results of the Eco-Lanes Operational Scenario
defined by the Applications for the Environment: Real-Time Information Synthesis (AERIS) Program. The
Operational Scenario constitutes six applications that are designed to provide environmental benefits to the
users of connected vehicle (CV) technology on arterials. In this modeling effort, three of them are modeled,
namely, Eco-Lanes Management, Eco-Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (Eco-CACC), and Eco-Speed
Harmonization (ESH). The applications Eco-Traveler Information and Connected Eco-Driving have been
bundled as part of other efforts under the AERIS Program. The applications use the data available in a
connected environment and help reduce fuel consumption and emissions by providing driving feedback, speed
advice, and platooning and by creating eco-lanes. This report contains the details of the algorithms developed
to model the applications, the details of the analysis, and the results of each individual application and the
applications applied simultaneously.
