Abstract:The primary objective of this project is to develop multiple simulation testbeds and transportation models to evaluate the impacts of Connected Vehicle Dynamic Mobility Applications (DMA) and Active Transportation and Demand Management (ATDM) strategies. This report summarizes the evaluations conducted on the Chicago Testbed. The report summarizes the modeling aspects of the testbed, including the different operational conditions as well as the experimental results for the various weather and traffic conditions included in the analysis. The results identify synergistic ATDM and DMA strategies that work well together, and others that may work best when taken individually. Sensitivities of the strategies’ impacts to various implementation aspects of the predictive strategies are investigated under different operational conditions.
