Abstract:This report summarizes the findings of a benefit analysis study of the present and proposed Air Traffic Control Systems Command Center automation systems. The benefits analyzed were those associated with Fuel Advisory Departure and Quota Flow procedures. Actual data on reduced arrival capacity conditions were analyzed. Benefits were then derived based in the supposition that flow control procedures had been utilized. Using future demand predictions, benefits for both the present and proposed advanced systems were estimated through 1990. The study indicated that the only benefit that could be appropriately quantified was fuel savings due to the implementation of Fuel Advisory Departure Procedures.
