Abstract:Los Angeles--A $16.1 million U.S. Department of Transportation grant for the final design of the Los Angeles downtown people mover was announced today. Theodore C. Lutz, DOT's Urban Mass Transportation Administrator said, "This grant covers the first year of a four-year final design and construction phase that includes the design of guideways and stations."
