Reaffirming a strong Clinton Administration commitment to improving access to public transit for millions of Americans, the Department of Transportation will award 249 Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants totaling $645 million to 46 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, Transportation Secretary Federico Peña announced today.
