Abstract:The primary objective of this research is to operationalize a new tour-based travel behavior modeling framework that addresses three limitations of existing frameworks. First, it represents time as a continuous entity. Second, it captures the interrelationship between stops and tours across the day. Third, it accommodates the temporal constraints within which an individual generates trips and activities. More specifically the report documents models that help implement the framework. A key contribution of the research is in the use of Multiple Discrete-Continuous Extreme Value (MDCEV) modelling approach formulated by Bhat [1]. The report documents the models developed.
