Abstract:

This report describes progress made toward the development of the ability to use video streams from commercial traffic cameras to detect the presence of buses in real time and to incorporate this information into an adaptive traffic signal control scheme. Its real-time nature makes it ideally suited for incorporating real-time information about the presence and movement of buses.
