Abstract:This report is the third volume of a four-volume set of reports presenting the results of a study to further the development of performance-related specifications for portland cement concrete pavement construction. Using the recommended performance-related specifications, a highway agency can upon construction predict the performance of a pavement and forecast the pavement?s life-cycle costs. The benefits to the agency from using such specifications can be significant. This report contains supporting documentation for the study, including information on the performance prediction models used in the specifications and on the typical variabilities associated with acceptance quality characteristics. This report will be of interest to engineers concerned with quality asssurance, specifications, and construction of concrete pavements. Contents: Appendix C: Literature Search Summary, Appendix D: Typical Acceptance Quality Characteristic Variability, Appendix E: Distress Indicator Prediction Models, Appendix F: Annotated Bibliography, and References.
