Abstract:This paper offers answers to "Who are ATIS Customers?" using different, complementary research and evaluation approaches. The first section, entitled External Factors Influencing Customer Demand, offers an empirical assessment of external conditions that appear to be critical to strong consumer demand for ATIS services. The second section, entitled Using Attitudes and Values to Segment the ATIS Market, describes a general population survey that was used to segment the population according to their attitudes and values toward time, technology, travel, and information.
