The Transportation Research Thesaurus (TRT) provides a controlled vocabulary for consistently indexing transportation research and publications. Andy Everett and Bill McLeod discuss the activities and accomplishments of the TRT Advisory Group that's tasked with maintaining the thesaurus. Everett, who serves as the TRT Advisory Group Chair and is the Washington State Department of Transportation's Data Curator and Metadata & Taxonomy Analyst, discusses the group's progress on deprecating parenthetical terms to align with ISO standards. McLeod, the Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) Manager, talks about how to friend the TRT Advisory Group, how to navigate the TRT homepage, and how to suggest a new term.
