In response to the U.S. Government Accountability Office report GAO-22-104579, the Federal Aviation Administration has initiated leadership of the Aviation Infectious Risk and Safety program. This consortium is comprised of industry, academic, governmental, and international partners to develop computationally efficient modeling techniques to simulate disease transmission in air travel, and assess the relative efficacy of risk mitigation strategies. A key component of the endeavor involves acquiring datasets for realistic model parameterization and validation research. This report provides a detailed human behavior dataset collected in both commercial air travel and simulated laboratory settings representing the gate area, jet bridge, and aircraft cabin. Data presented include passenger movement, speech, surface touches, and ambient conditions such as temperature and dew point.
