Abstract:The purpose of the contract was to provide training for traffic accident investigators and allied specialists. Approximately 30 students were trained in each of three classes of a 2-week, 84-hour course entitled "Multidisciplinary Highway Collision Investigation Training Course." Attendees were primarily from State and local multidisciplinary accident investigation teams, with a few from Federal organizations, such as the National Transportation Safety Board. The contractor provided all necessary resources for conducting the course, including instruction, recruitment, and enrollment of students; arrangements for student participation in the course; facilities; classroom spaces; transportation during the course; training materials; and vehicle crash observation for each participant.
