Abstract:

The Aircraft Reply and Interference Environment Simulator (ARIES) is a special purpose capacity simulator that will have the ability to simulate a heavy target and fruit environment for a Mode S sensor. This capability will initially be used during factory acceptance testing of the production Mode S sensors where the ARIES will be used to verify that the contractor has met the sensor's target capacity and loading requirements.
