Abstract:The study presented in this document describes how the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) should develop simulation loads to use them collectively as a standard performance measure, called a benchmark, for the Host and Advanced Computer Systems. Conducted at the FAA Technical Center, this investigation addresses technical issues concerning workload design and provides a management plan outlining the benchmark development. A milestone schedule and a summary of required manpower for developing the benchmark are included.
