A major goal in the Remote Maintenance Monitoring System (RMMS) program is standardization of RMMS components, One approach to standardization is the Equipment Monitor/Test Functional Module (EQPM/TFM) concept. The EQM/T approach is described at the system level, applications to specific FAA facilities are defined, and the design requirements for a family of TFM's are given. This report can thus be used as a handbook to provide guidance in the design or procurement of RMM equipment.
