This phase of the research focused on establishing the scientific, technical, and operational feasibility of deploying smartwatch-based heat stress monitoring systems, with the following objectives:• Identify and validate physiological and environmental indicators of heat stress relevant to an individual’s work environment.• Evaluate the capability of commercially available smartwatch technology to measure these indicators in work environment settings• Assess predictive modeling approaches capable of estimating heat stress risk in real time using integrated physiological and environmental data• Develop a conceptual closed-loop feedback framework for early heat stress detection and intervention.
