In accordance with the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990, the United States Coast Guard (CG) is committed to a pollution prevention program that will improve the quality of the environment. A key element of this program is the minimization of municipal, industrial, and hazardous waste being generated at CG facilities nationwide. Recycling of wastes services to reduce disposal costs and minimize adverse effects on the environment. This document gives guidance to personnel responsible for establishing CG recycling programs.
