Abstract:

The objective of the Phase IV Gross Solids Removal Device (GSRD) Pilot study was to evaluate

the performance of one non-proprietary device that can capture gross solids and that can be

incorporated into existing highway drainage systems or implemented in future highway drainage

systems. The term “gross solids” includes litter; vegetation; and other particles of relatively large

size.
