Abstract:

The objective of this research is to gather and analyze aircraft engine non-volatile particulate matter (nvPM) emissions data collected from CLEEN, ACCESS and other recent emission measurement campaigns and to develop improved models for the relationship between fuel composition and nvPM emissions. Improvements to estimates of nvPM emissions from alternative fuels will be useful in understanding the air quality and climate impacts of alternative jet fuels.
