Abstract:

The objective of this project is to study the application of fusion-bonded epoxy coatings of rebars in bridge decks. A thin film of epoxy resin is fusion bonded to the reinforcing steel as a prevention against corrosion. A monitoring system was established to measure electrical resistance for several years after installation.
