Abstract:

The Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) is the home of the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Office of Research, Development, and Technology (RD&T). TFHRC conducts innovative research to provide solutions to transportation problems both nationwide and internationally. Our advanced research and development apply new highway technologies to complex issues through the development of more economical, environmentally sensitive designs; more efficient, quality-controlled construction practices; and more durable materials. The end result is a safer, more reliable highway transportation system.
