Abstract:Data set for the SMART grant Innovative Transportation Solutions Project. This research project investigates the implementation of advanced vehicle and pedestrian detection technologies to enhance traffic signal operations and safety across high-volume corridors. The primary objectives include improving signal timing, pedestrian crossing efficiency, and truck flow during free-flow conditions. A phased deployment introduced cutting-edge sensors and radar systems, including Bluetooth travel time sensors and Wavetronix Advanced 200-E units, to collect real-time data and optimize traffic management. The data was developed from the Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures, which tracks the data output from the traffic signal controller. The travel time data is from Iteris Vantage Velocity, which tracks travel along a corridor.
