In this report, a detailed description is made of the established procedures to design deep foundations subjected to vertical loads on the basis of pre-boring pressuremeter tests. Both the ultimate capacity and load-settlement calculations are outlined in the form of step-by-step procedures. Design examples are given and solved. An indication of the precision of the methods is presented by comparing the predicted behavior to the measured behavior for actual case histories.
