Abstract:

This report is the fourth and final of research project 2-18-82-322, "A Study of Raised Reflective Pavement Markers." This report contains an executive summary of the project which includes the research methodology, significant conclusions and suggested future research in the area. This report also contains several tests and procedures which once used will result in a more useful and effective route guidance system. These tests and procedures include (1) installation guidelines, (2) a polyethelene test for pavement moisture, (3) a maintenance evaluation procedure, and (4) suggested guidelines for pavement marker placement.
