Abstract:

This project aims to develop a real-time data analytics framework for transportation network analysis during disasters, focusing on flooding. By integrating wayfinding techniques with dynamic data from DOT and federal agencies, it provides emergency services and residents with real-time routing options and information on shelters. Initially piloted in flood- prone Iowa cities, the framework will eventually include AI-driven decision making and communication features. It will also accommodate factors like road conditions, traffic, and population changes to ensure its effectiveness during emergency situations.
