The scope of this phase of the research study was to extend the knowledge gained from previous studies on the durability of structural lightweight concrete, and attempt to correlate (a) type of lightweight coarse aggregate, (b) cement factor, and (c) the freeze-thaw durability performance of selected concretes; utilizing the results obtained from prior research together with research carried out in this investigation. Also, investigations were begun to find out if the different types of lightweight aggregate could be described according to their fundamental properties.
