• Abstract:
  The Grand Forks-East Grand Forks Regional Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Architecture was prepared under the leadership of the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks Metropolitan Planning Organization (GF-EGFMPO). The goal of the GF-EGF regional architecture (RA) is to guide the implementation of ITS systems in the GF-EGF region and coordinate funding, deployment, information sharing, and operations of Systems in the region. The main ITS goal areas for the GF-EGF region include enhanced traveler safety; effective traffic and transit management; coordinated incident management; and enhanced traveler information. A 15-year planning horizon was considered in the RA development.
