"The Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas-Austin recently completed a project that compared automated vehicle performance and human driving behavior in several virtual highway and urban environment scenarios. The research team then analyzed the safety, mobility, and human-factors results to draw conclusions and formulate technical, policy, and research recommendations that will enable TxDOT to improve infrastructure readiness and inform forward thinking policies on AV technologies." -- from publisher
