Abstract:The purpose of this research project for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Center for Integrated Asset Management for MultiModal Transportation Infrastructure Systems is to quantify the impact of transportation investments on economic activity at the county-level within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Specifically, the project identifies optimal transportation investment strategies that maximize the economic returns for the entire Mid-Atlantic region, considering both traditional and technological investments.
