Abstract:

This manual provides programmable design procedures for both box and pipe culverts with either conventional or improved inlets, for the Hewlett Packard, HP-65 calculator. The same terminology and algorithms used in "The Design of Improved Inlets for Culverts" (HEC No. 13) are used in these programs. Each program listed in the manual is accompanied by an explanation and an illustration of its use.
