This project evaluated the viability of using the Cognivue Thrive to detect cognitive and physical impairment of drivers due to drugs. The device was tested in Boulder, Colorado during April of 2023 and results were compared with a blood sample. The report discusses lessons learned from testing of the Cognivue Thrive including technological, legal, and legislative issues that arose, and next steps in exploring the potential role of cognitive testing devices.
