Abstract:This Traffic Tech report briefly summarizes a larger, full report on oral fluid drug screening devices that detect drug-impaired driving. A laboratory evaluation of five on-site oral fluid drug screening devices using oral fluid samples prepared samples at specific drug concentrations and tested for cannabinoids, opiates, cocaine/metabolite, methamphetamine/amphetamine, and methadone or benzodiazepines. Each device was assessed for accuracy, reliability, performance to manufacturer specification, susceptibility to interference, and resistance of the device consumables to extremes of temperature and humidity.
