Abstract:A review of climate science reports relevant to extreme precipitation planning for their appropriateness and application to extreme precipitation design was completed for the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Office of Hydraulic Engineering. The report responds to questions posed by ODOT related to the climate science reports, encompassing a range of topics, including context around the greenhouse gas emissions scenarios used in the reports, uncertainty associated with precipitation projections at various return periods, and interpretation of results. Points of clarifications are provided, and potential analyses or reviews are proposed in select responses.
