Abstract:The purpose of this study is to determine through statistical analysis if the dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) can be used as a reliable method of quality assurance to evaluate in-situ resilient modulus (MR) of a reclaimed stabilized base (RSB) in full depth reclamation (FDR) projects. DCP data collected by contractors from the RSB layer at the time of placement and compaction from five separate full-depth reclamation projects with RSBs was provided for this analysis. For comparison to the DCP data, MR determined from falling weight deflectometer (FWD) testing was obtained on three of these projects about 10 to 18 months following construction. The total size of the described file is 96.8 MB. PNG files can be opened using the system's photo viewer. Files with the .xlsx extension are Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files. These can be opened in Excel or open-source spreadsheet programs. Docx files are document files created in Microsoft Word. These files can be opened using Microsoft Word or with an open-source text viewer such as Apache OpenOffice. PDFs are used to display text and images and can be opened with any PDF reader or editor. The .csv, Comma Separated Value, file is a simple format that is designed for a database table and supported by many applications. The .csv file is often used for moving tabular data between two different computer programs, due to its open format. Any text editor or spreadsheet program will open .csv files. JPG files can be opened using the system's photo viewer.
