Mobility as a Service (MaaS) integrates diverse transportation modes into a unified platform to offer users personalized, convenient, flexible, and cost-effective trip options. It can address accessibility challenges, particularly for underserved population groups without cars or no driving capability, by providing them various (combinations of) alternative modes such as carpools, shared mobility—such as ridesharing (e.g., Uber and Lyft), bikes and scooters—and public transit. This research consists of two parts; 1) A Comparison of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Alternatives for Access to Public Transportation Terminals and 2) User Preference for Micro Mobility: An Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis Approach.
