This document consists of a PowerPoint presentation addressing the challenges of pavement design in energy development areas. It was presented at a workshop on February 26, 2018 in Austin, Texas. The project's main objectives were to: (1) develop materials options suitable for early trafficking; (2) recommend pavement designs that are structurally adequate for overloaded vehicles; and (3) work with districts to design, construct, and monitor test sections with new materials and design approaches.
