The purpose of this project was to develop a method to automatically enter traffic accident records into an existing database and to provide a computerized method of archiving the forms. This involved redesigning the existing forms, developing a method for scanning them, performing optical character recognition on all the fields, and designing a system for storage of the forms. This project involved mainly finding appropriate existing software to accomplish all of the above.
