The aim of this report is to elucidate how the U.S. public perceives vehicle headlights, especially in regards to headlight glare and visibility. A review of sample U.S. newspaper articles published from 2004 to 2009 is conducted, in order to glean public misperceptions as well as correct perceptions about automotive headlights. This report presents the main areas of concern in terms of headlight safety and discusses possible areas for future research.
