Abstract:

The Preliminary Analysis System for Water Surface Profile Computations (PAS) - User's Manual describes and illustrates the use of a microcomputer program to assist in stream geometry data development for water surface profile computations. The program implements the findings of the research project "Accuracy of Computed Water Surface Profiles," (Hydrologic Engineering Center, 1986) and incorporates features for preliminary hydraulic computations based on limited data.
