Abstract:To strategically allocate resources to maintain the routes to and facilities at major attractions, it is critical for Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMAs) to understand how their transportation network is utilized by the traveling public and what facilities and roadways are most in demand by visitors. This project field-tested the viability of using Inductive Loop Signature (ILS) technology at nine sites ($~135k) for visitor usage and origin/destination data at Kenai National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Alaska.
